Their Story — As Told by Rewant & Himanshi

Rewant’s Experience: A Journey of Accessibility and Liberation

Our recent trip to Singapore was truly special. My wife Himanshi and I, both with locomotor disabilities, were a little anxious at first — but thanks to the impeccable planning done by Amrita, our dear friend and expert travel planner, the journey was nothing short of seamless and liberating.

From landing at Jewel Changi and a smooth transition to our hotel, to soaking in the views of Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay on our first evening — every moment was well-organized and accessible.

The highlight was undoubtedly Universal Studios, where we managed to enjoy 8–10 rides thanks to the park’s inclusive design and detailed planning by Amrita and Raunaq. We also explored heritage-rich neighborhoods like Little India, Arab Street, and Chinatown with absolute ease.

Our final night in Singapore brought an unexpected challenge — no accessible cab was available and public transport had shut down. I decided to wheel myself back 5 km to the hotel, and to my surprise, it was completely safe and accessible. That moment alone showed us how inclusive the city truly is.

Following Singapore, we set off on a two-day cruise from Singapore to Malaysia and back. With Amrita’s help, we booked an accessible balcony room — a dream I had long held. From pool access to seamless cabin mobility, every part of the cruise was perfectly suited to my needs. We spent most of our time on the balcony, enjoying serene mornings and peaceful nights.

This trip was a dream — and it wouldn’t have been possible without Amrita’s meticulous attention to detail and constant support. For anyone seeking an inclusive travel experience, I’d wholeheartedly recommend her and the Starflyer team.

Himanshi’s Experience: Our First Trip After Marriage

Our first international trip as a married couple was filled with joy, beauty, and learning. Exploring Singapore’s vibrant streets, heritage sites, and nightlife was unforgettable — especially because accessibility was seamlessly woven into the city’s infrastructure.

Of course, planning such a journey came with nervous questions: Would we manage in a foreign country? Would the transport, hotel, and experiences support our accessibility needs?

Together with Amrita, Raunaq and their team, we mapped out every detail — from cab logistics and hotel access to public transport and ride options at Universal Studios. Their support gave us the confidence to go forward with excitement.

Arriving at Changi Airport, we had a few hiccups — like having to shift into an airport wheelchair and managing the check-in for Rewant’s motorized chair. But we managed it all, and soon found ourselves in awe of Jewel Changi’s lush vertical gardens and waterfall.

Our Perspective — Starflyer’s Take

At Starflyer Travels , we don’t just plan trips — we craft experiences that make freedom and joy accessible to all.

Planning this journey for Rewant and Himanshi wasn’t just another project; it was deeply personal. As someone who’s known Rewant since college, we knew how important it was to not just plan logistics, but to curate something empowering — a celebration of mobility, love, and limitless exploration.

From researching accessible rooms and transport, to decoding ride guidelines and making space for spontaneity — every step was taken with heart, care, and precision.

Seeing Rewant cruise down Singapore’s streets on his wheelchair at 3 AM, or Himanshi giggling on her first roller coaster ride, wasn’t just fulfilling — it reminded us why we do what we do.

This wasn’t just a trip. It was proof that when accessibility is prioritized, magic happens.

We’re grateful to have been a part of their journey, and we look forward to crafting many more stories that show the world: travel has no limits — and neither do the people who dream of it.
